New CEO Selected
Gary Shaffer, library administrator from Sacramento Public Library, California was selected Thursday, November 18th during the library commission monthly meeting. He will take up his new duties early January, 2011.

Public meeting 7 p.m. at Hardesty Regional Library’s Connor’s Cove Theater (8361 E. 93rd St.). Residents are encouraged to attend and fill out a comment card with their impressions. - Nov. 16 - 17
Finalist candidate interviews - Nov. 5 – 12
Top two to three candidates selected for second interview. Interview dates confirmed and finalists notified. References interviews completed and reports prepared for Board. - Nov. 5
Interview dates for semi-finalists in Tulsa. - Oct. 11
Consultants meet with Commission in Executive Session to review resumes and consultant interview notes. Top candidates selected for semi-finalist interviews. Candidates notified. - Oct. 8
All pre-screening interviews completed. - Oct. 5
All applications sent to Personnel Committee/Commission. - Oct. 3
Applications close - Aug.-Sept.
Consultants JoBeth and Dan Bradbury from Gossage Sager Associates/Bradbury Associates post position announcement in various State and Association placement centers. Initiate nationwide networking and telephone contacts to identify qualified candidates. Obtain additional nominations from library leaders. Follow up on responses. Continue regional and national networking and telephone contacts to identify qualified candidates and obtain additional nominations. - July
