Alan Furst has been selected as the 2011 Peggy V. Helmerich Distinguished Author Award Winner by the Tulsa Library Trust. Where can I learn more about him and his work?

You can learn more about Alan Furst and his career through the Biography in Context database. First click on the Research & Learn tab at the top of the library home page, then select Alphabetical List of Databases. Scroll down to the B's for Biography in Context. Perform a search for the name Furst, Alan and you should receive a list of results, the first of which will be a biography from Contemporary Authors Online.

To find out more about his novels, try Novelist Plus, which provides book summaries, reviews, book discussion group guides. You can also read the first chapters of some of his books through the Novelist database, including The Polish Officer and The World at Night. Novelist can be found in the Reader Tools section of the Explore tab on the library page. You can perform searches by author or title.
