Tulsans and residents of surrounding communities are invited to celebrate National Community Planning Month by attending an open house hosted by the City of Tulsa's Planning and Economic Development Department.
The open house will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 3 - 6 p.m. at City Hall, 10th floor North Conference Room. Program remarks will begin at 3:30 p.m. and refreshments will be provided.
"This event will provide Tulsans an opportunity to visit with our staff and learn about the diverse activities that our department is engaged in and the impact planning has on our community and the daily lives of our citizens," said Dawn Warrick, Planning and Economic Development Director.
October has been designated as National Community Planning Month by the American Planning Association (APA) as a way to highlight the role of planners and planning in each community. The month-long celebration is an opportunity to recognize how planning shapes our city and the work of citizen and professional planners to create communities of lasting value.
