The Glenpool Library will be closed April 24-29 for library improvements.
TulsaWiki is a local wiki focusing specifically on this great community of ours. What is a wiki? A wiki is a resource that provides content on a subject or subjects (in this case, Tulsa), and can be edited by anyone, meaning you have the ability to add, delete or revise the information that is posted. While TulsaWiki is hosted by the Tulsa Library, its content comes from the community. This could include people, places, history, events, weather, politics, and more.
To browse the wiki, simply go to its home page (www.tulsawiki.org) and click away on any links you find interesting, or use the search bar to look for a specific topic. Because the wiki is relatively new, there is still plenty that needs to be added, so feel free to add your own knowledge about Tulsa to the mix. To edit an existing page, just click on the ‘Edit’ button at the top of that particular page and you’ll be taken to a page that will allow you to add text, links, etc. To create a new page, go to the ‘search or create page’ button in the top right corner, then type in the heading for your new page in the ‘Create a new page’ field to get started on the entry. Whether creating or editing, be sure to click on the ‘save changes’ button at the bottom of the page when you are finished. Otherwise, you’re work will not be added to the wiki. To learn more about the way the wiki works, check out the Help page.
Although editing the wiki does not require a login, creating an account is encouraged, so that users get credit for their contributions to the wiki. The ‘create account’ and ‘log in’ links can be found in the top right corner of the page, just above the search field.
