Voluntary Water Rationing

Several Tulsa County communities have issued voluntary water rationing...

Today, July 31, Mayor Bartlett signed a resolution asking City of Tulsa residents to participate in voluntary water rationing.

As part of the voluntary rationing, the City asks households on even-numbered streets to water on even-numbered calendar days. Households on odd-numbered streets are asked to water on odd-numbered calendar days.

Sales Tax Holiday

Oklahoma Sales Tax Holiday Announced for August 3-5, 2012

Oklahoma’s annual sales tax holiday begins on the first Friday in August and continues through the following Sunday. In 2012, the three-day holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 5. Certain clothing and shoe purchases are exempt from sales tax for this time period only. This includes state, city, county and local municipality sales taxes.

City of Tulsa residents woke up this morning to an interim trash service. Beginning July 1 and ending October 1, Tulsans will have once a week trash pick up and no recycling pick up.
