The City of Tulsa is implementing a location-specific emergency alert system. This system, which launches in June, will alert residents by phone of emergency or threatening events in their area.
All landline phones will automatically be registered to receive emergency notifications. Residents can also opt to be notified by email or to receive a call or text message to a mobile phone.
The system will also push non-emergency notifications to landlands, emails, and mobile phones. To receive these notifications, all residents must opt in.
