Voluntary Water Rationing

Several Tulsa County communities have issued voluntary water rationing...

Today, July 31, Mayor Bartlett signed a resolution asking City of Tulsa residents to participate in voluntary water rationing.

As part of the voluntary rationing, the City asks households on even-numbered streets to water on even-numbered calendar days. Households on odd-numbered streets are asked to water on odd-numbered calendar days.

The City of Tulsa rationing request extends to Jenks, Owasso, and Bixby residents who receive Tulsa water.

The City of Broken Arrow also announced voluntary water rationing. As with the City of Tulsa, Broken Arrow is asking households on even-numbered streets to water on even-numbered calendar days. Households on odd-numbered streets are asked to water on odd-numbered calendar days.

If water usage reaches 204 million gallons in day, the City of Tulsa will go to mandatory water rationing.
