You can watch Christopher Walken read books aloud, watch a brief video about a robot that flies like a bird, and watch over 450 movies for free online (including classics, westerns, foreign films, indie films, and more). You can download free e-books or audio books, watch rare footage of Samuel Becket, or download a lecture series on Roman architecture. This website is amazing!

“Watch. Practice. Learn almost anything for free.” This is the heading at www.khanacademy.org. The site contains over 2,700 videos and 260 practice exercises for people interested in learning anything from arithmetic to physics to investing. Though this site is heavily focused on science (including healthcare and medicine), math, history, and economics, there are also videos for general SAT and GMAT prep. Take a little time to check it out; I guarantee you will learn something.

Free Learning Online I: Universal Class

Did you know that you can take free non-credit courses through Universal Class with your TCCL library card number? You can enroll in up to five courses, and you have six months to complete each course. You can take courses that focus on developing specific knowledge and skills, like accounting, history, medical coding, language arts, office skills, etc. You can also take courses to prepare for the GED! Tutors, basic literacy learners, and English language learners can all find something interesting and useful to improve their abilities and knowledge base.
