This option is offered through our Outreach Services department. Customers who qualify for homebound delivery can request their own items, or have Outreach staff select materials based on their reading preferences. Books By Mail items are delivered via USPS, while materials provided through Homebound services are taken to the customer’s residence by a staff member or Outreach volunteer.
Outreach Services provides a number of other avenues for those who, due to various circumstances, are unable to visit library locations. These programs include the Bookmobile, visits to nursing homes and assisted living centers, and donation of materials to shelters and detention centers.
