We've recently changed the software we use to provide lists of new materials, and now provide two different services to help you find new books, movies, and more. The first is called NextReads, and takes the place of our old BookLetters service.

You can access our searchable event guide through our website. From the home page, click on Classes and Events at the top of the screen. It will show a calendar of the current month, as well as a list of any and all programs going on throughout the Tulsa City County Library system for that day. You can select different days of the month to see what's coming up on a particular date. You can even select a whole week or month at a time by clicking the arrow buttons on the left side of the calendar.

You can find your elected Congressional officials, on the state and federal levels, through the library's Government Documents, or Gov Docs, pages. You can find the Gov Docs collection by going to the Research & Learn drop down menu and selecting Government. Once there, select ‘Government Frequently Asked Questions'.

Whether you're a high school student making plans for after graduation or an adult wanting to go back to school, the library can help you with the process of getting into college. Our Education Guide, found on the Research tab of the library's home page, has a number of resources that can be found in the College Bound menu on the left side of the page. The library has a couple of tools that can help you find the death dates of people who lived in or around Tulsa at the time they passed away. First, the Tulsa World database, found in our alphabetical list of library databases, has an online archive from 1990-present. Along with news articles, this archive includes birth and death notices from the past two decades. To find a notice, type in the deceased person's name in the first ‘All Text' search field, then change the second search field to ‘Section' and type in ‘Deaths'.
