Where in the library can I find resources on national and international standards?

We have access to a variety of standards in our Research Center. You can see a list of the available standards on this handy guide. To find the guide from our home page, go to the Research & Learn tab, then look under the Research by Subject list for the link to Standards.

November 11 is Veterans Day.

Every year as part of recognition and gratitude for their service, restaurants and businesses offer free meals and discounts for veterans and active-duty service members. However, we do not have to wait until November 11 to honor our veterans and service members. The Tulsa City-County Library has compiled Veteran Resources to assist veterans, active-duty service members, families, caregivers or anyone interested in supporting our troops.

I keep hearing so many different things about the Affordable Care Act. Where can I find some facts about what it actually does?

Love it or hate it, the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, is the law of the land, and there is a lot being said about it. In case you are having trouble wading through all of the information (and misinformation) out there, the library’s Research Center has put together a guide to help you navigate some aspects of the ACA.

Can the library help me locate phone numbers and addresses of individuals and companies?

Yes, the library offers a directory database called Reference USA. This database can be used at all library locations and from home. To access this database from the library's homepage, go to Research & Learn, then click on the Alphabetical List of Databases, and you'll Reference USA under R.

Did you know Tulsa has its own wiki? You can be a part of it!

Featured Service

TulsaWiki is a local wiki focusing specifically on this great community of ours. What is a wiki? A wiki is a resource that provides content on a subject or subjects (in this case, Tulsa), and can be edited by anyone, meaning you have the ability to add, delete or revise the information that is posted. While TulsaWiki is hosted by the Tulsa Library, its content comes from the community. This could include people, places, history, events, weather, politics, and more.
