I would like to take my daughter to storytime, but she is only 2 years old. Do you have storytimes for 2 year olds at the library?

The library offers special storytime programs for young children, including those who are newborn to age 2. These storytimes are typically called My First Storytime and they are held at many of our 25 locations. During the 0-2 year old storytimes, children and parents can enjoy developmentally appropriate songs, finger plays, and stories in a fun and nurturing setting. To find a storytime at a location near you, consult the Kids page, which is found under the Interests tab.

The Presidential debates have started, which means the election is around the corner. What sort of information does the library have on the candidates and ballot questions?

Our Government Documents page has a section on the 2012 election, including lists of the candidates for Federal and State Offices, and information on the six state questions that Oklahomans are being asked to decide. The page also includes a number of voter guides from outside sources such as the League of Women Voters and various newspapers, both local and nationwide.

Does the library have meeting rooms available for reservation?

Yes, each library in Tulsa County has as least one meeting room that is available for reservation by groups and organizations. Certain rules and policies apply in order to reserve a room. These can found in the Meeting Rooms link on the library's About page

I have some work that I would like to protect. Where can I find information on patents and copyright?

We have a collection of resources and links that can facilitate your efforts to protect your intellectual property. These resources are in our Business Center Guide. Just click on the tab labelled "Patents, Trademarks & Copyright". You will find definitions of each method to help you determine which applies to your idea, as well as links so you can search for existing items or file a new application.
