Though not a federal holiday, President Woodrow Wilson in 1916 did issue a proclamation officially establishing June 14 as Flag Day. Why June 14? The flag of the United States was adopted on that day in 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.
Yesterday was primary election day. It was a historic day for the City of Tulsa as we hosted our first-ever municipal, non-partisan election. As no single candidate received 51% of the vote, 2 in each category will move on to the November 12 general election.
Tomorrow is primary election day in the City of Tulsa and parts of Tulsa County. Polls will be open Tuesday, June 11 7am-7pm. Early voting is available today (Monday, June 10) at the Tulsa County Election Board (555 N. Denver Ave, Tulsa) until 6pm.
