A Thanksgiving Day Banquet was served by the ladies of the baptist church in the new fire house at 17 West 2nd Street, between Main Street and Boulder Avenue. 

Fire Chief R. C. Alder is standing against the wall on the right side of the window. Trinity Episcopal Church chaplain and rector Rev. Gerald A. Ottman, City Auditor E. B. Cline, Fire and Police Commissioner T. E. Smiley, Mayor L. J. Martin, Finance Commissioner F. M. Wooden, Tulsa Daily World reporter Glenn Condon, and Tulsa Daily Democrat reporter Charles Allen are also pictured. 

Voices Of Oklahoma: Dr. Jerry Gustafson On The JFK Assassination

50 years ago today, Dr. Jerry Gustafson, long-time surgeon at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, was  a resident at Dallas Parkland Hospital when President Kennedy was assassinated. Dr. Gustafson was 28 years old. You can hear his story on Voices of Oklahoma. 

THS: Flowers By Mrs. DeHaven Book Signing With John Brooks Walton

At the Tulsa Historical Society on Saturday, November 16th, John Brooks Walton will talk about his book Flowers by Mrs. Dehaven. The book will be for sale, and Walton will be available for signing. The event is from 1:00-3:00 PM.

Dwell In The IDL

Tulsa Foundation for Architecture (TFA) brings Tulsans a look into the lives of urban residents with their DWELL in the IDL tour on November 10, 2013 from 1pm to 5pm.

DWELL in the IDL will showcase downtown living through adaptive reuse and creative new construction in the heart of Tulsa. Seven properties will be on display. Participants will see everything from an upscale loft in a historic Art Deco skyscraper, to cutting-edge eco-conscious new construction.

D2: Diversity & Dialogue is an annual event hosted by the Diversity Crew which focuses on current diversity-issues. The event always includes an expert on the chosen subject followed by attendee discussion. The 2013 D2 event is called Moving Beyond the Tulsa Race Riots.
