Check-out Policy

Library materials are checked out for different time periods depending on the type of material. Most materials may be renewed by phone or in person before the due date if no reserve requests are on file. To renew your materials, call your branch library or call the Central Library at 596-7955.

Customers are normally notified when their materials become 10 days overdue and billed for unreturned items at 45 days overdue. Notification will be earlier for overdue items with less than a 14-day loan period.

*Periodicals at the Central Library do not check out. Branch locations check out back issues of certain periodicals; they do not check out the most current issue.
