- Event Description: The featured speaker for this all-day workshop is Dr. Dexter Voisin, associate professor at the University of Chicago and a specialist on the effects of community violence and HIV/AIDS in African-American and Latino male populations. Marvin Blades and other members of the Coalition of 100 Black Men of Tulsa also will speak. Parental permission slips are required.

Business Plan Basics

- This event will be held at Rudisill Regional Library.
- Event Description: Whether you are starting a new business or expanding an existing company, a thorough business plan is important. Volunteers from SCORE: Counselors to America's Small Business, Tulsa Chapter 194, will take you through the steps to develop your own business plan. Learn why a business plan is important and what research is required. You also will review an actual business plan and learn about helpful library resources.
