Genealogy questions can be answered by phone or letter. Examples of phone inquiries would be a question about what the library owns, an address or information on a research topic. The department is not able to "look up" names on Indian rolls or census rolls by phone. The staff is unable to make long distance phone calls or faxes.
A limited amount of research, including census or Indian roll look-ups, can be conducted by letter to 2901 S. Harvard, Tulsa, OK 74114, or email to genaskus@tulsalibrary.org. For a copy of an obituary contact the research center at rcaskus@tulsalibrary.org.
Copying charges include 10 cents per page for photocopying and copying microfilm and microfiche.
Newspapers and city directories dating back to the early days of Tulsa are located at the Central library and can also be requested through the research center.
