The Hispanic Resource Center provides cultural, informational, and educational resources, activities, and services. It serves both Spanish and English-speaking customers. All resources, programs, and activities are free.

The Hispanic Resource Center offers:

  • Bilingual librarians to answer your questions and help you locate the resources you need.
  • Bilingual storytimes for children and their families.
  • Spanish-language books, videotapes, music compact discs, and other materials.
  • Spanish-language magazines and newspapers available in print and online.
  • Audiotapes and books to help you learn English or Spanish.
  • English-language books and materials celebrating Hispanic culture, art, history, current issues, and travel.
  • Computers with Spanish-language software and keyboards that offer Internet access, educational games for children and Microsoft Office Suite Applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Free workshops, guestspeakers, art exhibits, educational programs, and entertainment such as flamenco dancers, mariachi bands, and classic Hispanic movies.
  • Free meeting rooms available for use by community organizations and groups.
History: 

The Hispanic Resource Center was established in 1999 to provide library service to the Spanish-speaking community and to serve as a resource for those in the larger community seeking information about the history and culture of Latinos and Latin America.
