Outreach Services
Jails, Detention Centers, and Shelters

The Outreach Services Department provides donated and discarded items free of charge to area jails, detention centers, and emergency shelters.

You can take your donations to your nearest TCCL location and ask that they send them to Outreach Services or bring them by Central Library (4th Street and Denver Avenue) between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Donations Needed:

  • Paperback books, especially westerns, science fiction, fantasy, horror, action adventure, children's & juvenile, and parenting in any condition.
  • Popular magazines less than a year old, especially sports, ethnic, and entertainment oriented in any condition.
  • Large print books and magazines in good condition.
