It’s Time To File My Taxes. Can The Library Help Me?

While the library does not offer a tax preparation service or tax advice, we do have some tools that can help you with the process of filing your taxes. A list of these resources can be found on our Tax Information page.

Federal tax forms will be available at all Tulsa City-County Library locations.

NOTICE:  The IRS is unable to offer instructions for 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ to libraries and other organizations due to recent budget cuts.  

Oklahoma Tax Free Weekend

This weekend, August 2 - 4, 2013, is Oklahoma's Sales Tax Holiday weekend.

Beginning at 12:01 am on Friday, August 2, 2013 and ending at twelve midnight on Sunday, August 4, 2013, Oklahoma will hold a sales tax holiday giving shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain clothing and shoes free of sales tax. This includes state and any local sales taxes.

Tax Day is Monday, April 15

If you still haven't filed your taxes and are in need of forms the library is here to help. All Tulsa City-County Library locations are stocked with federal income tax forms; and though the State of Oklahoma no longer provides forms, library staff can assist with printing state forms (standard printing fees apply).

Sales Tax Holiday

Oklahoma Sales Tax Holiday Announced for August 3-5, 2012

Oklahoma’s annual sales tax holiday begins on the first Friday in August and continues through the following Sunday. In 2012, the three-day holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 5. Certain clothing and shoe purchases are exempt from sales tax for this time period only. This includes state, city, county and local municipality sales taxes.
