Documenting The Flooding Of Mingo Creek

Please join us next Thursday, December 1st, from 4pm-6pm to preserve the history of Mingo Creek. Mingo Creek accounted for $125 million of the $180 million in flood damage during the 1984 Memorial Day flood. The flood killed 14, injured 288, and damaged or destroyed nearly 7,000 buildings. Bring your flood stories, photographs and documents. Staff from the Carl Albert Center will digitize these materials and record oral histories about the flood.

New In The Digital Collections: July 2016 Update

Digital collection work has resumed but remains slow as we continue the process of returning to remodeled Central. In June and July 2016, TCCL uploaded 198 items into the Digital Collections. There are now approximately 36,726 items in the Digital Collections. Additions include Tulsa enumeration district maps for  1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940.
