"The library is often the first resource parents use to find
information on learning disabilities.
Books on the subject are helpful to parents because they offer a
starting point before seeking professional help for their child," says
Linda Modenbach, Learning Disabilities Association president, pictured on
the left. Her organization's
community spirit allows the library to purchase additional materials that
help families across Tulsa County.
From a community group's donation that helps strengthen the library's materials collection to a grant for new Internet computers, the library's benefit to the community increases with continued support from local businesses and organizations.
