Are you new to grant proposal writing or just need a refresher? Check out these free online resources to help polish your skills.

1. – How do I write a grant proposal?
GrantSpace offers a FAQ-style guide to nonprofit questions, including “How do I write a grant proposal?” At the end of each article, there is a librarian-cultivated list of additional resources. Check out the links at the bottom of this article for lots of great, free grant writing resources.

2. – Sample Grant Proposals
GrantSpace also provides a collection of completed grant proposals and other documents. These samples can be helpful to look at to get an idea of what a completed grant proposal looks like.

3. Proposal Writing Basics
The Foundation Center offers an always available recorded version of its popular class Proposal Writing Basics.

4. Proposal Writing Short Course
Learn the key components of a foundation grant proposal through the Foundation Center’s  text-based, self-paced online learning course, Proposal Writing Short Course. The course is available in English, French, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

5. Grant Writing 101 - Universal Class
This is an online continuing education course offered for free to Tulsa City-County Library cardholders. To access, use the above link and then go to “Universal Class.” You may be prompted to enter your library card information and then set up a free Universal Class account.

6. Writing Grants – Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance
If you plan to apply for a federal grant, its essential to read the CFDA’s Guide to Writing Grants
