During the month of October, many kids like to read ghost stories and other spooky tales, but the amount of scariness kids can handle varies greatly from child to child. The timid horror readers may want vampires and ghosts as characters, but none of the fright. For thrill-seeking children, it is hard to get books scary enough to satisfy their want for jump scares. Every reader had different needs, so here are some recommendations for fun and spooky stories based on how much frightening content they contain using the Jenks Library's Scary Scale!
