Asian-American Festival to take place June 7

   Explore the colorful cultures of Burma, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, the Philippines and other countries in Asia at Tulsa City-County Library's 12th annual Asian-American Festival.

   Celebrate and learn about the customs and traditions of Asian-Americans with entertaining, educational events for the entire family at this free festival, scheduled Saturday, June 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett Road.

   The festival features martial arts demonstrations, traditional dance and drumming, authentic arts and crafts booths, interactive educational booths featuring hands-on crafts and activities for kids, a food concession with Asian cuisine provided by India Palace and Lone Wolf, a cosplay costume or traditional dress contest with prizes, a Japanese tea ceremony, plus lots of other exciting presentations and activities. 

   Commemorative Asian-American Festival T-shirts will be available for purchasing for $10.
