Convenience is the key to connecting with a librarian, searching the library catalog, downloading the latest bestseller and sharing your insight with other readers. Now you can even register for a library card within the app. “With the incredibly high use of smartphones today, Tulsa City-County Library recognizes we can reach customers and help them find information and entertainment beyond the walls of the libraries throughout Tulsa County,” said Charlotte Frazier, deputy director of support services. “Customers will enjoy the immediately available access to e-books and audiobooks. With ‘BookLook” they can quickly scan any book’s barcode to see if it is available for checkout from the library.” New mobile app features include: • Apply for a library card from your device • “BookLook” lets you scan a book’s barcode to see if the library owns a copy • Menus available in Spanish • Access eBooks available for immediate checkout • Shortened menu text and combined social media options Results for books, DVDs, audiobooks, CDs, periodicals and library events are available instantly. You can easily access your library account to renew books and request new materials.
