Tulsa City-County Library Extends Summer Reading Program to Aug. 17

Everyone loves more time to read.  Now readers have until Aug. 17 to complete Tulsa City-County Library’s children’s, teen and adult summer reading programs.

It pays to read by completing your reading log to earn coupons for free food and entertainment.  Those finishing the program also are entered in an end-of-summer drawing for prizes like bicycles, gaming systems and gift cards.

For the first time, each library location will award a pair of Tulsa State Fair Mega Ride Passes to a lucky child. With every library visit children earn a sticker to put on their reading logs.  When they have collected four stickers, they are entered in a special end-of-summer drawing.  Adults who read or listen to four books will earn coupons for free treats, as well as a chance to win a Kindle eBook reader.

By reading eight books children will receive a gold medal, along with a book of coupons for free entertainment and food, a $70 dollar value.  Read 12 more books to earn a bonus prize, a superhero duck toy.
