Tulsa City-County Library to Host "Lead the Change" Workshop

Tulsa City-County Library was chosen as only one of six locations nationally to host Library Journal’s “Lead the Change” workshop April 24, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., at Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St.

Librarians from a tri-state area will participate in the “Lead the Change” workshop which provides insights and tools to redefine collection development and reader’s advisory strategies, and transform book stacks into vibrant discovery centers that engage readers and drive circulation.

Librarians will receive an action planner, and work both individually and in groups to build a framework for innovation and change as they approach collection development and reader’s advisory.

David Vinjamuri, president of ThirdWay Brand Trainers and assistant professor of marketing at New York University, will provide insights, best practices and marketing tools from both the private sector and libraries that will help librarians transform their relationships with the community.
