Tulsa City-County Library Now Offers Access to Millions of Additional Items

Your reading list is about to get longer with free, fast and easy access to millions of additional books.

Tulsa City-County Library was the first out-of-state partner to join MOBIUS, a consortium of Missouri-based public and academic libraries which now includes over 70 Missouri libraries, 42 Colorado libraries and the Tulsa City-County Library.  This new partnership expands customer access to more than 60-million library items.

If you can’t find a specific item in Tulsa City-County Library’s catalog, simply click the “Search MOBIUS” button to automatically begin the search for your item in the MOBIUS catalog.  Select your item and choose the Tulsa City-County Library branch where you will pick up the materials.  Your request appears in your “My TCCL” account upon successfully placing the hold.  You can track the requested item on your account and will have record of when it is due and be able to renew in the same way that you renew TCCL materials.  Your requested material will arrive in approximately one week and you will be notified that it is here.  MOBIUS items check out for three weeks and can be renewed up to two times.

“MOBIUS expands the number of items that are available to Tulsa City-County Library customers,” said Sue Anderson, Collection Management manager.  “It allows easy access to millions of books that we could not provide to our customers before joining.”

Tulsa City-County Library customers are encouraged to visit their local library and have staff demonstrate how easy it is to search and request materials through MOBIUS.

For more information on MOBIUS, call the AskUs Hotline, 918-549-7323, or visit the library’s website, www.tulsalibrary.org.
