March Madness is taking over Tulsa and Central Library is ready for tip off. Central’s downtown neighbor, the BOK Center, is hosting the first- and second-round games of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. For those who can’t make it to the game, Central Library has the next best thing – a jumbo screen!

Fans of all ages are invited to watch the action on the 16’ by 9’ jumbo screen in the A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Foundation children’s garden at Central Library, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue. Wear your favorite team’s apparel, and bring your lunch and lawn chair as you cheer on your team, noon-6 p.m. on March 21 and 22.

“As warmer weather approaches, we are excited to offer different types of programming for all ages in the outdoor garden. The area was designed to offer free community events just like this,” said Buddy Ingalls, Central Library manager. “A fun fact about the outdoor garden is it is 58 feet wide by 150 feet long, just a bit larger than 1.5 basketball courts.”
