Taking your idea from a thumbnail sketch to production and distribution requires more than just passion for invention.

   Learn legalities and how to protect your creations during "Patents & Trademarks Explained," June 12, 9 a.m.-noon., in Central Library's Aaronson Auditorium, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue.

   The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office will feature resources and services for inventors, entrepreneurs and businesses, and how to use them. Participants will get an introduction to intellectual property, the patent application process, federal trademark registration process and U.S. Patent & Trademark Office resources for start-ups and entrepreneurs.
