Public Papers of the Presidents 1929 - Jan. 2017
The OFR began compiling and publishing the Public Papers of the Presidents (“Public Papers”) in 1957 in response to a recommendation of the National Historical Publications Commission. Noting the lack of uniform compilations of messages and papers of the Presidents before that time, the Commission recommended the establishment of an official series in which Presidential writings, addresses, and remarks of a public nature could be made available.

Presidential Inaugurations
The Library of Congress digital collections include a wide variety of primary source materials documenting presidential inaugurations. This guide includes diaries and letters written by presidents and those who witnessed the inaugurations, handwritten drafts of inaugural addresses, broadsides, inaugural tickets and programs, prints, photographs, and sheet music.

Presidential Libraries are archives and museums, bringing together the documents and artifacts of a President and his administration and presenting them to the public for study and discussion without regard for political considerations or affiliations. Presidential Libraries and Museums, like their holdings, belong to the American people.

Following his State of the Union address, President Biden released his budget detailing his vision to protect and build on the Administration’s progress and invest in all of America to make sure the middle class has a fair shot and we leave no one behind. The Budget will lower costs for families, protect and strengthen Social Security and Medicare, and reduce the deficit by making the wealthy and corporations pay their fair share and cutting wasteful spending.
Budget of the United States Government 1921-2023
The Budget of the United States Government is a collection of documents and supporting data that contains the budget message of the President. Included are information about the President's budgetary proposals for a given fiscal year. Prior to 1971, the report was prepared by the Bureau of the Budget. From 1972 it has been prepared by the Office of Management and Budget, with some prepared in conjunction with the Executive Office of the President.
