   Tulsa City-County Library (TCCL) invites entrepreneurs and small-business owners to learn about library resources and receive the help of industry experts through Grow Academy. This five-month program empowers new and current entrepreneurs with the tools and resources offered by the library and their community.

   From February to June, the Grow Academy will offer monthly Saturday classes at Central Library, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue, for a cohort of admitted applicants who are interested in starting or developing a small business. 

   “Grow Academy is a five-month program to support entrepreneurs in their goals of small business: whether ideating or trying to grow, we're here for you!” said Aubrey, TCCL’s Economic and Community Development Librarian, who leads the program. “We spend time on business plans to market research, ensuring local businesses have the resources they need to thrive.”

   Each class will include advice from industry experts and instruction on how to utilize free library resources to gather vital data needed for a business plan and market research. Admitted students will receive a digital workbook to accompany classes, and those who complete the entire program will receive a certificate of completion.   

   Grow Academy classes will take place on Feb. 28, March 28, April 25, May 3 and June 27 from 10 a.m.-noon at Central Library. Topics covered will include business plans, finding funding, market research, marketing and more. 

  Those interested in joining the Grow Academy program must apply online at www.Tulsalibrary.org/growacademy. Applications will close on Friday, Jan. 9.

   In addition to the admitted applicants, walk-ins are welcome at each month’s Grow Academy class. Interested participants can attend a single session without applying and without attending other sessions but will not participate in cohort discussions.
