Using Gail Honeyman’s best-selling novel “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” as a launching point, join readers for the program “Building Hope: A Community Conversation About Trauma and Resiliency” on Sept. 19 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett Road.

Community Conversations is a reading and discussion program designed to give participants an opportunity for authentic and transformative dialogue about challenging issues.

Oliphant’s book is a great catalyst for discussing the nature of trauma and its impact upon an individual’s social, mental and physical health. Participants are encouraged to participate in a lively exploration of strategies for effecting real change that supports resiliency in our community.
