TULSA, Okla. --- Travel far and wide without leaving Tulsa! Join the Friends of the Tulsa City-County Libraries for Travels With Tulsans, a lunchtime travelogue series presented by notable community members. This series is held each Wednesday from Jan. 14 through March 4 from 12:10-12:50 p.m. at Rudisill Regional Library, 1520 N. Hartford. Attendees may bring their lunch.

Events in this series include:

· “Bosphorus Beauty: Sights of Istanbul” on Jan. 14. Travel with George Moudry through this ageless city of contrasts that spans two continents, with its rich history, ancient monuments, bustling bazaars and majestic sights.

· “Hiking Yellowstone: A Deep Dive” on Jan. 21. Explore Yellowstone like fewer than 1% of visitors – by hiking the park – with Ann Dunagan and Ros Elder, taking in the history, geography and fauna of this beloved national treasure.

· “Moroccan Streets” on Jan. 28. Experience the vibrant streets and landscapes of Morocco through the lens of photographer Anitra Lavanhar, visiting the cities of Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fez and Casablanca.

· “Singapore: Life in the Little Red Dot” on Feb. 4. Craig Bryant, who spent three years living in Singapore as a consul with the U.S. Embassy, shares his unique perspective on the complex and growing nation.

· “Land of Fire and Ice: Two Weeks in Iceland” on Feb. 11. April Schweikhard navigates Iceland’s famed Ring Road and its unique adventures – from backpacking the trails and summiting a glacier, to discovering waterfalls and scuba diving the Silfra Fissure.

· “Adventures in Egypt” on Feb. 18. Get close-up with the legendary landmarks of one of the world’s oldest civilizations as Andy Taylor and Phyllis Danley take us around Egypt on their 2025 trip.

· “Bards and Blues: An American Delta Road Trip” on Feb. 25. Visit the homes of Tennessee Williams, William Faulkner and more with Tara Grotzke as she travels sections of the Mississippi Writer’s Trail, Blues Trail and Civil Rights Trail.

· “A Norwegian and North Seas Cruise” on March 4. Cruise the Norwegian and North seas from Iceland to England and between with Steve Platner, exploring the breathtaking ports of Alesund, Geiranger and Bergen, Norway. To watch these programs on Zoom, email Friends@tulsalibrary.org for the link.
