The COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally changed nations, communities, and the lives of individual people around the world. In response to this important global event, Tulsa City-County Library would like to invite members of our community to share photos, videos, artwork, essays, short stories and poetry describing their experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this project is to build a permanent digital collection documenting the COVID-19 pandemic in Tulsa. This collection, entitled Together Apart: COVID-19 In Green Country, will be made available to scholars, researchers, and members of the public for study.

The following file formats will be accepted for this project:

  • Photos and artwork: JPEG, JPEG 2000, TIF (If uploading pictures taken from your cell phone, we recommend selecting the largest size available. This will help retain photo quality.)
  • Videos: MP4
  • Audio Recordings: MP3
  • Essays, short stories, poetry, and other written works: PDF or DOCX.

Submission Agreement for Special Collection “Together Apart”

The undersigned contributor (“Contributor”), in consideration for the agreement of the City-County Library of Tulsa County (“TCCL”) to receive the creative works digitally attached and submitted by the Contributor (the “Materials”) and to evaluate the Materials for inclusion in a Special Collection being curated by TCCL to be called “Together Apart”, hereby contributes, donates and licenses the Materials to TCCL for the purposes set forth herein. The Contributor’s submission of the Materials and TCCL’s receipt of same are made subject to the following terms and conditions and based upon the following representations and warranties. In order to have your Materials included in TCCL’s digital collection, you must agree to each of the following by checking the box next to each statement below.
 
I represent and warrant to TCCL that I am the copyright owner of the Materials with the right to enter into this Agreement, contribute the Materials and grant the license granted herein because I am the original author and creator of the Materials. The Materials do not, to the best of my knowledge, infringe upon or violate the rights of others. If the Materials were created by a minor, I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor and enter into this Agreement for and on behalf of such minor.
I grant to TCCL a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, copy, reproduce, distribute, publish or make derivative works of the Materials in TCCL’s sole and absolute discretion including, without limitation, the following:
  • The right to digitize the Materials and publish digital surrogates online in TCCL’s digital archives.
  • The right to use the Materials for any promotional purposes related to this or any exhibit, including reproduction for any media relations, print advertisement or social media outlets.
  • The right to make copies of the Materials in print or digitized format for educational or commercial purposes.
