New and improved Rudisill Regional Library set to reopen Oct. 2

   September 2017    You are invited to find your new favorite reading nook as Rudisill Regional Library, 1520 N. Hartford, reopens Oct. 2 with a new look and access to more resources.   Library customers will appreciate comfortable furniture and collaborative spaces to study or work together. A reconfigured computer lab along with more spacious areas to access reading materials will benefit learners of all ages. The updates are part of TCCL’s New Service Model ensuring libraries remain relevant for 21st-century readers.

Tulsa City-County Library wins Bellmon Sustainability Award for Environmental Stewardship

   September 2017   Tulsa City-County Library was awarded the 2017 Henry Bellmon Sustainability Award for its Central Library Renewed project.   The statewide annual awards are granted through a partnership with Sustainable Tulsa and the Tulsa Southside Rotary Club and Foundation. The organizations strive to raise awareness and reward individuals, organizations and companies dedicated to quality of life, responsible economic growth and environmental stewardship.

Central Library is having a birthday and you are invited

   September 2017   Readers are invited to celebrate a fantastic first year of success at the renovated Central Library, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue, Oct. 1, 1-5 p.m.   Enjoy a classic birthday-themed celebration, complete with a balloon artist, magic shows, face painting and more fun activities for the whole family. At 2 p.m. in the A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Children’s Garden, everyone can enjoy birthday cake and join in a happy birthday sing-along. Young readers earn end-of-summer celebration for reaching reading goal

   September 2017   In an effort to increase Tulsa City-County Library’s 2017 summer reading program participation at Rudisill Regional and Suburban Acres libraries, Tulsa’s District 1 Councilor Vanessa Hall-Harper issued a challenge to the young readers in her district, “Increase participation by at least 5 percent and earn an end-of-summer cookout.”
