Young readers earn end-of-summer celebration for reaching reading goal

   September 2017   In an effort to increase Tulsa City-County Library’s 2017 summer reading program participation at Rudisill Regional and Suburban Acres libraries, Tulsa’s District 1 Councilor Vanessa Hall-Harper issued a challenge to the young readers in her district, “Increase participation by at least 5 percent and earn an end-of-summer cookout.”

"Chapters" literacy fundraiser to feature authors Jennifer Latham, David Leite and Julia Thomas

   August 2017   Spend an enjoyable evening after hours in the library with three favorite authors while helping raise money and awareness for Tulsa City-County Library’s Ruth G. Hardman Adult Literacy Service.   In conjunction with National Literacy Awareness Month, Tulsa City-County Library and the Tulsa Library Trust are offering “Chapters: A Casual Evening of Books, Bards and Bites” on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St. The cost is $50 per person. Families invited to back-to-school community resource fair at Martin Regional Library
