TCCL to honor award-winning author Tommy Orange with Festival of Words Writers Award

   Oct. 9, 2020   During the award presentation, Joy Harjo, (Muscogee Creek), will interview Orange about his life and work. Harjo was the inaugural recipient of the Festival of Words Writers Award in 2001. As an award-winning poet, author and musician, Harjo was appointed the 23rd United States Poet Laureate in 2019, the first Native American to hold the position.

Tulsa City-County Library to reopen for express service

   June 5, 2020   Tulsa City-County Library (TCCL) will reopen all locations for express service beginning Monday, June 22. Express service includes curbside or in-library holds pickup along with browsing, copying, printing and faxing. Computer usage will also be available with a 30-minute time limit.

Tulsa City-County Library Temporary Closure

   March 13, 2020   As a preventative measure to limit exposure to the coronavirus and to follow the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommendations for social distancing, all Tulsa City-County Library (TCCL) locations will close to the public beginning today, March 13, 2020, at 6 p.m., and remain closed for at least two weeks. The library will also temporarily discontinue all outreach services including its bookmobile and reading roadshow services during this time.
