     Your reading list is about to get longer with free, fast and easy access to millions of additional books.    Tulsa City-County Library was the first out-of-state partner to join MOBIUS, a consortium of Missouri-based public and academic libraries which now includes over 70 Missouri libraries, 42 Colorado libraries and the Tulsa City-County Library.  This new partnership expands customer access to more than 60-million library items.

Summer Reading Program Features Sporty Rewards for Summer Readers

   The response to Tulsa City-County Library’s children’s and teen summer reading programs was both a home run and a slam dunk.    Through eight weeks of the summer reading program, 39,724 Tulsa County children and teens have signed up to keep the pages turning with summer learning.  Participants have until Aug. 2 to complete the program, earn a coupon booklet filled with free items throughout the area, and be entered in an end-of-summer drawing for great prizes like bicycles and helmets, a fishing trip, Xbox 360 with Kinect bundle and gift certificates to area stores.

Great Lego Build Off Finals Set for Librarium

   All summer, children and teens have competed at various Tulsa City-County Libraries to build the best Lego creation.  Now they will face off for the ultimate in Lego building bragging rights.    To qualify for the finals children built an original design based on the summer reading program theme “Fizz, Boom, Read.”  Teens created an original design based on the theme “Spark a Reaction.”
